This pool originally had a sports bottom, which is shallow on both ends with the deep end in the middle. Customer has had issues since pool was installed, & the pool-Crete was not installed properly. Homeowner asked to reshape the bottom and install new pool-Crete and a new liner. We extended the shallow end by the stairs 2 extra feet and dug out the other side to make it a deep end. Now the pool goes from 3’6” to 5’6”. We replaced the pool-Crete and installed a new vinyl liner. The liner the homeowner picked is a Tara Pools Auamarine W/gold shimmer tones.

For all the DIY people looking to get your pool cleaned up & ready for the summer here’s a little information to help if your pool is currently green from algae!

You’ll need a large bucket of Cal-hypo pool shock. You can check out the links below

-Remove as much debris from your pool as possible and brush the walls and floor thoroughly.

-add Cal-Hypo shock according to the amounts below. (When adding shock add directly to pool & use your brush to distribute it & help it to dissolve)

-Light green water color
3lbs of shock per 10,000 gallons

-Grass colored water
5lbs of shock per 10,000 gallons

-Dark green water color
8lbs of shock per 10,000 gallons

- Run pump for several hours to make sure shock is completely dissolved and distributed throughout the pool.

-24hrs later you’ll need to manually vacuum pool to waste.

-after vacuuming backwash or clean your filters and let your pump/filter run 24/7.

-get water tested and balance chemicals accordingly.

-once thats all done set your pump timer to your desired times and enjoy!!

Sometimes you run into unexpected problems, but no need to panic we’ve got you. A liner change turned into a deepend wall rebuild, new pool-Crete, liner install, Step and bench resurfacing.

A nice remodel job we’ve done. Replaced old metal coping with this beautiful 12x24 travertine, resurfaced the entry steps with a gray epoxy coating, and liner replaced with Tara Pools Black Opal shimmer tone vinyl liner. I’d like to thank Eric Smith with Plus construction for their work on the travertine installation.
