Why are there bubbles / foam in my pool?

There are many reasons for this. When the pool is balanced right and mechanically it is sound then you need to look at what may have been introduced into the pool.

Some common causes-
Common causes of foam are:

Hair care products – shampoo, gel, hairspray, etc.

Personal care products – body wash, lotions, deodorant and makeup

Laundry detergents or soaps
These are reasons why you are told to shower before entering a pool. To wash off any contaminants that may be on your body.

Household cleaners used on the pool cover, liner etc. that are not designed for pool use.
