Getting dried paint off of cabinets. Requires patience and the right solvent. Always start with the mildest method to avoid damaging the cabinet’s finish. Begin with warm, soapy water or rubbing alcohol, then progress to stronger methods if needed.Step-by-Step Cleaning 1: The Mild Approach (Water-Based Paint)If the paint is water-based (latex):Mix a few drops of mild dish soap (like Dawn) into a bowl of warm water.Soak a microfiber cloth, wring it out so it is damp, and hold it against the dried paint for 2–3 minutes to soften it. Gently rub the area in a circular motion.Wipe dry with a clean cloth. Method 2: The Solvent Approach (Stubborn or Oil-Based Paint)If soap and water do not work, the paint is likely tougher or oil-based:Always test the solvent on a hidden spot on the cabinet (like the inside of a door) to ensure it doesn't strip the original finish or stain. Lightly dampen a cotton swab or microfiber rag with 70%-91% Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol Gently rub or roll the solvent directly onto the dried paint spot until it begins to dissolve.Wipe the area clean immediately with a damp (water-only) cloth, and dry thoroughly. Avoid metal scrapers or razor blades as they will gouge and scratch the wood .

For wet playdough, scrape up excess immediately without rubbing it in. Let the remaining dough dry completely. Once hardened, scrape or brush it away, then vacuum. For stubborn residue, press fresh playdough onto the carpet to lift the old bits, or apply a warm, soapy cloth and scrub gently.Quick Removal Steps If it's wet: Don't rub or scrub, as this drives the dough deeper into the carpet fibers. Use a spoon or a butter knife to gently scrape up as much as possible. If it's dry: Wait for the dough to dry completely. Once it's crunchy, scrape it off using a butter knife or the bottom of Mega Block, then vacuum the remaining particles.The "Dough-on-Dough" trick: Playdough sticks to itself. Take a fresh or clean ball of playdough and firmly press and lift it over the stuck-on pieces to pull them out of the carpet.

Baking Soda and Water Paste
To remove crayon from walls with baking soda, make a paste with baking soda and water. A 50/50 mixture is great. Grab a rag, or sponge, and scrub the paste onto the wall to get crayon marks off. The only downside of using baking soda to get crayon off walls is that your walls will be left with a gritty baking soda residue, that will ultimately, have to be cleaned off with that bowl of soapy water again.
