There is a lot of people with control panels mounted on the ground. This is a lazy way to do a system and most of the systems done this way the control panels are ruined because of the floods. Why do they do this you ask. Simple they are lazy or not competent enough to mount it to the house, or a 4x6. When you get a quote for a system ask where are you going to put the control panel. If they say on the ground say no your asking for trouble not just from water but ants as well. It's common sense folks make your installer have some.
