Got a call to remove a snake from a child’s bedroom this morning. The homeowner wasn’t sure what it was—just knew it wasn’t a black snake—so I came prepared for anything.
After about 5 minutes of searching, I found the little guy hiding… a DeKay’s brown snake.

Completely harmless and actually beneficial—they feed on pests like slugs and insects. This one was safely removed and relocated where it belongs 👍
