Our deep cleanings are extremely detailed. Type of deep cleanings...

1. Move in- home is empty
2. Move out- home is empty
3. Post construction- empty or occupied depending on whether its a new build or a repair job.
4. Occupied deep cleaning- home is lived in
5. Post party cleaning- occupied homes or event spaces.

To all the commercial cleaning companies out there....

How are yall finding contracts? What websites are yall using? Im in VA so I use the government procurement website. Recently, I have received bid requests for buildings in my town but the requests r coming from subcontractors that are in another state, why would the local companies not call other local companies first? Why do they call out of town people? Bc those out of town people just call us anyways.

To all other cleaning businesses..... how do you guys pay your employees for traveling to and from the job? Do u pay them to travel to and from the jobs? Do you only pay the person who is driving?

To all cleaning clients, how do you feel about the travel fee? Do u mind paying it knowing itd going directly to pay the employees to travel to and from your homes?

We do it like this....
1. If the employees come to the office and ride in the work vans to the job they get paid once they get into the work van to travel to and from the jobs. I figure the travel fees into the prices.
2. If an employee leaves from their home or from somewhere that isnt our office and if they r driving themselves, we pay them once they get to the job. When they leave they clock out. This is bc its just going to any other job. Unless the job is over 30mins away, then we tell them to clock in for traveling bc thats alot of time
3. If we have had to pick an employee up from their home bc they have no way to get there (car broke down etc) we will tell them not to clock in bc we r using our time and gas to pick them up.

Who thinks this is fair? I have heard alot of companies not paying their cleaners to travel at all. Even if their in the work vehicles. Let's have a discussion in the comments
