Friends of Gandy received notice from our partners about upcoming motorized use of the Gandy Dancer State Trail.

❄️ Here’s the information! ❄️

POLK COUNTY Snowmobile Trails will OPEN as of 8:00 am on Monday, December 15, 2025. The Gandy Dancer State Trail will also be open to Frozen Ground ATV/UTV use at this time.

Current snowmobile and ATV trail conditions can always be found for Polk County at: https://www.polkcountywi.gov/government/divisions_and_departments/public_works/parks___trails/trails/snowmobiling.php

BURNETT COUNTY will open snowmobile and winter ATV trails on Monday, Dec. 15. Trails remain closed this weekend due to the 4-day antlerless gun deer hunt taking place, and also because clubs are clearing storm damaged trees from the trails.

Current snowmobile and ATV trail conditions for Burnett County can always be found at: [burnettcountywi.gov/trails]burnettcountywi.gov/trails. From this link, you can also sign up to receive email and/or text notifications regarding Burnett trails.

Reminder: Wisconsin State Trails are open year round for pedestrian use so being on the Gandy for walking, fat biking, etc is permitted. Please use caution.

The School District of Webster will be CLOSED today, Wednesday, December 10, 2025 due to inclement weather. This includes all extra-curricular activities and facility use agreements. Staff are not to report.

Please note that along with our buildings closures, our parking lots are also closed so that our maintenance team can clear them safely.
