These days there are National/World Days for just about anything! Here's one for you...HAPPY WORLD TOILET DAY! The 2023 Theme is "Acclerating Change", with the goal of motivating people to take personal action to aid in maintaining clean, healthy toilet environments. There are 3.5 billion people living without safe toilets. In these areas of the world diseases spread, killing 1,000 children under 5 every single day. The goal is to have safe toilets and water for all by 2030. We have a long way to go and need to accelerate our actions. Be aware, spread the word. Toilets don't need to be a dirty word. Let's prioritize restroom cleanliness for all!

October 2nd is a very important day! National Custodial Workers Recognition Day!! Show your appreciation to a group of men and women who work incredibly hard all hours of the day. They are in our offices, warehouses, plants, schools, hospitals and homes. Most everywhere you go there are custodians cleaning the way ahead of us. These dedicated workers are rarely recognized for the demanding work they do. They keep our homes and workplaces safe, clean and sanitary. So shout out an extra thank you and remind them of their value.

Alpha, Delta...what's the difference? The Delta variant is now responsible for nearly 5 out of every 6 new cases in the U.S.
The Delta variant appears to cause more serious cold symptoms, including runny nose, headache, sore throat and fever. But coughing and the loss of taste/smell, which are the telltale signs of the initial Alpha strain, appear to be less common in the Delta variant. The means of transmission through airborne droplets is consistent for both, HOWEVER, the Delta strain has been found to be much more contagious. The Delta variant is a mutation of the original Alpha strain. Mutations are random events, and not because of the drug or vaccine. Viruses (and bacteria) multiply so quickly and make errors that are not repaired and so some mutations are neutral, some lethal, and some advantageous to the microbe. But there is not "thinking" or cleverness as if they are mutating to avoid a drug. Viruses do not think.
WE are the ones that need to think and use our brains! Please continue to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer when needed, and disinfect your hard surfaces properly. This should become a habit, pandemic or not.

Welcome to summer, a summer that is the closest to normal that we have seen in some time! Let us hope that we continue our improved hygiene practices, washing our hands, using hand sanitizer when needed, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, and being health conscious. With the new D variant strain of the Covid virus I urge everyone to continue to be vigilant. As humans we tend to have short memories...but this recent history we do not want to forget.

We made it through a tumultuous year. We had long, difficult days, weeks and months. We helped where we were able and hope we made a difference. We too lost people we loved and will carry them in our hearts 💕 forever. Please, continue to be vigilant and wise as we emerge into what I pray will be an infinitely better 2021.

So...just read an article that nearly half of Americans believe employers should require that their employees receive the COVID 19 vaccine with either the Federal, state, local or employer paying the cost. While its unlikely that this will be mandated, if anyone here wanted it I would certainly pay for it! We've been blessed to remain healthy through all of this, but it's not over yet and I will do whatever I need to, to keep us all healthy! We are family here!

We have the cleaning and disinfecting products you will need to finish out this difficult journey. There is light at the end of the tunnel but we are still in the tunnel!
