What is in a name?

Misty Morn was a shrimp boat named by my Father and Mother. The second Misty was built in 1980, the same year I was born. (There was a wooden version before I was born).

I spent my teenage years into my young twenties working on that boat. It feels like I spent more time on that boat then I did at home, especially in the summers. The day after graduating High School, we left the very next morning, bright and early, to find some shrimp for 7 days. That was our schedule, go out for 6 to 7 days and come in for a night or two. Then start all over.

That boat is where I learned how to work hard, what it means to take pride in your work, and what work ethic really is. The Misty Morn was a defining time in my life that made me the man I am today, getting me through struggles such as losing vision in an eye to scary moments of life threatening events and accidents. Myself and my brothers worked alongside our dad and learned what it meant to provide for our families and what hard work can accomplish. Even though some of these lessons weren't realized until years later, the core of what we did, how we did it, and why we did it, set in years later with what I think is the best of versions of our selves. And with that, the knowledge that we can always push ours selves to do and be better. Every. Single. Day.

So that is why we have named this company Misty Morn Power Wash & Auto Detail, a dba. of Misty Morn Consulting LLC. I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for that boat, my parents, and the work ethic that the Misty Morn etched into my soul.
