All I can say is my hats off to all that attempt to become a small business owner. This just about sums it up…..

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work-life balance.

You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All while being husband or a wife, family support, friend...

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed.

It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives.

Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

And know that 2022 prices are not 2024 prices.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT work on any properties that are managed by



They, DO NOT pay their vendors!!
There are already vendors taking liens on these properties for non payment!
BEWARE!! BEWARE!!
If you or your company is aware of this and have been scammed like me, I want to know.

If I’ve become a little distant this is why!
We service 6 property mgmt companies qat the moment and the few as well that just call and you ask “how did you about us?” Moments 🤣 Those excite me, can’t help it 🤷🏻‍♀️ but thinking I realized there’s a lot of apartments or houses within the Property itself not just one 🤣
I got to thinking OMG!
Are we really doing this?
Let me let everyone understand this blessing. It’s a trying blessing, don’t get me wrong, it’s a blessing that wears on you everyday, your entire daily life. It’s what I wanted as a child and it was what I prayed over when it was presented to me.
Everyone knows me. If your my friend you definitely know me but if not, Hello 👋 .. 😁
I am a small business owner!
Today I realized we have 3 properties we paint. clean and do maintenance for. Now mind you, there are several… apts and houses within these 3 properties. 🤔 Several!!
We clean for 5 of the 6 properties. Now again, these are just the total mgmt companies we service, Everyday or Every month!
I have 6 properties with one mgmt company, 7 with another, 5 with another, 2 with another and the last one several each month. This is a lot my friends! 😁😁
I didn’t even have a goal in the beginning I just wanted to see how many would use our services, so I put myself out there. No shame here! 😁
We have serviced a lot of customers in 9 years. These customers have become our dearest friends and we are so grateful that they have faith in us to do a great job.
We have seen many houses, many apartments, dr offices, restaurants, retail stores etc..
You name it, I believe we’ve serviced it even to animal control 🤣
What started out as a Cleaning company has expanded to much, much more!
We work hard everyday without fail! We have a work to do!
Yes, we have our days but what contractor doesn’t, it’s business!
You think gross, disgusting, ain’t no way, really?
We have more and likely cleaned it or painted it.
I can’t think of a time that I have turned any business away, I’ll take anything or work to get it. 🤣
I’m just so Grateful right now after thinking of all that we have accomplished and our sacrifices everyday to keep steady.

Riddle me this! 🤔
I had been in cleaning for 3 years (2015 to 2018) took a year off (somewhat) and came back in 2019. Never once did I pay a vendor fee to work on properties. In 2020 this was brought to my attention when I was wanted as a vendor and now I wish I had never done this!
Complete Fail! It’s takes about a month or two if not longer to become compliant and by then the customer has already started using someone else so you lost that money unless another property brings you in that is owned by the same property. Long story short!
A lot of companies are doing this and I would stay away.
I’ve paid vendor fees and have worked my tail off as well as others and they wanna throw you around on your pay from 3 to 6 months, causing you to fail financially!
This is absurd! I bust my a** for these people, people that work for me has too and they take their time on paying.
It’s like when we get around to it but yet these are multi- million dollar companies that you have to get approved for including increasing all your insurance coverage just to CLEAN! Never once have I ever agreed to or signed off of to pay me when you get around to it 😡
So, it seems that the smaller companies take care of their vendors better than the ones that you have to pay to become a vendor. Isn’t this backwards?
