Can anyone identify the problem?

Bare wires running inside the duct is a major problem. Another problem is how dirty the duct is. The previous cleaner made the correct decision by not cleaning the duct/fan with the wires in there. Problem is, they never told the owner about the wires and billed them for cleaning the fan/duct. This restaurant has two fans and both have wiring running inside the duct.

We were able to get the account setup with our electrician to get the issue solved.

We have been seeing a trend lately where it is very obvious the previous cleaner missed a few spots. This restaurant had their five hoods cleaned six months ago by another company. The pictures below show years of grease build-up. Please check your hood/duct to make sure it's getting cleaned to NFPA Code 96 standards.
