A lot of lawn problems start with watering, not fertilizer.
Most Crowley lawns need around 1–2 inches of water per week, depending on the weather. The easiest way to check is with a rain gauge so you can see how long each zone takes to put out 1 inch. In hotter weather, some lawns may need closer to 2 inches.
