People, depression is a real thing. The feeling of being misunderstood, the loneliness, the darkness it becomes unbearable. But you don't show it. You think that as long as you keep taking your happiness, the feeling will fade. But it consumes you, making it harder and harder to be around people, to leave your house.

Think about it next time you see someone laughing louder than everyone else, smiling bigger than normal, they are more than likely forcing it. Be their friend, check on them regularly you may be the light they need in their darkest hour.

Happy Easter!
Now that we are back and Rob is on the mend, we would like to thank everyone again for their support! Physically, mentally and financially, it was the best worst time of our lives.

Rob is healing from his surgery, but we still need help recovering financially from this disaster. Our bills have come due most already past due so we still need your help for just a little bit longer. I have returned to work but it will be limited to part-time until we get him completely stable. We have applied for his Medicaid and Social Security and are waiting for answers. We have also applied for a program called LIHEAP that helps with electricity, no answer on that yet either. Tomorrow after 8 years of paying on the storage unit over $12,000 I will leave my memories. It will be auctioned off tomorrow morning. We were unable to come up with the money. But I did ask the manager that if the person who wins it can consider contacting me to maybe get a few of my memories back. No reply on that either. We are doing our best to keep our heads above water but are drowning quickly. If you can donate, if not we understand, but please share with friends and family to help spread the word.

Rob is healing. Maybe the last couple days he has had his interviews with Medicaid and social security disability. However that takes time and we are behind on all of our bills. By March 19th approximately $3050 in bills will be far enough behind that default and disconnection is inevitable . If you can't donate, please share, our story with your family and friends.

This is what depression looks like! This is what it looks like when you are disabled or elderly and are not able to do things for yourself. This is why Wandering Mandy's Helping Hands is being created. Too many low income homes have physical impairments, elderly or have mental illness issues. These same home have no help, either they have no family or the their family lives a great distance away. These people embarrassed by their living conditions, withdrawal and become depressed. Wandering Mandy's Helping Hands wants them to know they are not alone! We are here to help. But first I need your help. Currently I have 5 homes waiting on donations. 1 in Crawfordville Florida, 1 in Macon Georgia, 1 in Liberty Tennessee 1 New Jersey and 1 in Canton Ohio.
