Whidbey Pest Control now has a website. It has been a long time coming for the company. We at the company would like to thank Paul Hendrickson and Joann Weeks with Whidbey Local. Interesting fact:

Carpenter ants do not actually "eat" your wood like termites and moisture ants. Carpenter ants rip the wood off with their powerful mandibles and carry it off to an ejection point outside the nest. That is why you will sometimes find little piles of sawdust in your home.

If you see carpenter ants or sawdust piles inside your home, especially during the winter months call us immediately.

One of the most beautiful bugs, the Golden Buprestid can live for up to 50 years as a larvae in a piece of wood before it exits as an adult beetle. Some far east countries have been know to make jewelry out of their beautiful carcasses.

Fun Fact : Some Male Spiders Pluck Their Cobwebs Like a Guitar, To Attract Female Spiders. The spider uses the process to attract female spiders to their web for mating. They can pluck their cobwebs to emit a low-frequency noise that catches the attention of other spiders.
