992.2 GT3 Touring in PTS Nato Olive | Final

The end result of properly correcting out factory defects is exemplified in this amazing GT3 🙏

This color and colors in this family are exceptionally soft from Porsche. They are very easy to scratch and usually showcase some of Porsche’s best colors - so are always being looked at closely.

We did a multiple step paint correction, full body PPF, and professional grade ceramic coating to all exterior surfaces. This car is near perfect and has the highest level of protection to enjoy it as intended.

Nato Olive is an unbelievable color, I really enjoyed the before and after on this car. Thank you again to the owner for trusting me with this GT3, congratulations again 🙏🍻🤝

FAQ: Why paint correct a brand new car?

Most of you following me for a while already know this and have seen examples I have posted. Most of my clients already have my services scheduled by the time their car lands, but I wanted to re-share the “why?”. This example shows what nearly every single car that gets delivered to me has, so this is not unique and why picking who details your car is so important.

Expert paint correction specialists know this is a relatively simple correction, and there are PPF/tint/vinyl shops that don’t know how to detail or do any form of paint correction. There are also various levels of PPF and ceramic coatings. All of these factors add up to the end result and overall experience before, during, and after the services are provided.

Do your research and choose wisely.

992.2 GT3 Touring Lightweight | PTS Lava Orange

This newly delivered GT3 Touring Lightweight was brought in for a paint correction and PPF on the front end, rocker/high impact, roof, and rear wing.

Overall, the paint really woke up after the paint correction, we removed a few dust nibs on the carbon roof and the PTS Lava Orange looks incredible. The entire car was then ceramic coated with Gyeon’s Infinite line of professional grade coatings, and the trim was coated as well.

I didn’t have time for any before and after pictures, but the afters work just fine. Thank you again for following along, and congratulations to the customer on their amazing new GT3 🙏🍻

14 YEAR OLD PPF REPLACEMENT PROJECT X GYEON

It has been 3 years since Jason Haradon brought this car in for wet sanding, paint correction, and ceramic coating. The car turned out amazing, though there was one area we could only improve so much. That area was the front end, which had PPF applied back in 2012. In the 2nd slide you can see the visible difference between the front end and the adjacent door panel—the old film has a noticeable yellowish hue to it that needed to be addressed.

Gyeon was on board with a project to replace the PPF and showcase a new look with some Spoon carbon fiber pieces that Jason would debut along side my EK9 in the Gyeon booth. Gyeon’s PPF has been very popular due to its OEM-like texture, insane clarity, and slickness. Overall, this would be one of the final major steps to bring the exterior of Jason’s car as close to perfect as possible.

We were able to remove the film without any paint being removed, and then performed a multiple step paint correction to the surfaces underneath (which were also in 2012 condition). We then applied the PPF and ceramic coated the film with Gyeon’s Infinite line of professional ceramic coatings. The car turned out amazing and looked incredible at Wekfest 🍻🙏

WEKFEST LA | RECAP PART 2

Jason’s well known EG was the only other car showcased in the booth. He has supported me since the beginning - both my business and building my EK9. He was the one who actually found the car. We thought it would be a cool idea to have it completely Spoon themed - a look he’s never fully done. We did a detail project with Gyeon on this car that I will post later.

EK9 debut.

996 40th Anniversary | Recap

A good friend Tony Le has recently made a big move from an NSX to his first 911. Overall, this car is in very well maintained condition, with a few little things we needed to address and look out for. We ended up doing a two step paint correction, PPF on the front end and tail lights, and Gyeon Infinite ceramic coating.

As I worked through the paint correction, a noticeable amount of yellowish tint was removed from the clear - likely UV damage from storage over the years. Nothing major, but I knew the end result would be a noticeable change on a silver car.

The exterior improvement was a solid improvement on a really nice conditioned car. The car is now protected and likely one of the best conditioned 996’s around.

Congrats again, Tony! Thank you again 🍻🙏

WEKFEST LA | EK9 DEBUT RECAP

🏆: Best Honda of the Festival

This was my first Wekfest and the first show my car has been entered since HIN LB ‘00 where my turbocharged ‘98 Prelude was in the Atomic Performance booth. I want to thank the entire Wekfest team and judges for choosing my car for such an important award. With the incredible level of Hondas represented in LA, I am extremely grateful and honored to have been selected 🙏

The past 3+ years of this build have been quite the roller coaster, especially integrating a nostalgic Honda build into my work and family life. There were many ups and downs, but once the dust settles, nothing makes me feel the way this EK9 does in its “finished” and functional state. To everyone involved in this build - I can’t thank you enough for your time, talent, and inspiration in helping me build my nostalgic dream car.

Special thank you Kenji at Greddy for executing the part of the build that was most important to me, tying a nostalgia-inspired race engine into a Spoon build based on a time capsule condition EK9, and make everything flow and perform so perfectly. Who knew that paint correcting some of the nicest JDM hero cars would inspire this build 😜

Wekfest has consistently raised the bar in terms of car quality, and I am glad that this was the event to debut my EK9. The team at Wekfest have been supportive of my build and this process since the beginning, and I honestly can’t thank them enough for their support. Lastly, thank you to the Gyeon team for really pushing me outside my comfort zone with the YouTube content and the final push to enter this show 🍻

RECAP: GT4RS Weissach in PTS Meissen Blue

Scroll through for the before and after results from this multiple step paint correction and PPF project. With just over 1,000 miles, this car and some pretty significant defects for such a young car. The paint had deep vertical marring and scratches, likely from a car cover or transport/storage. There were also a number of sanding marks and unfinished rotary trails. Lastly, the front end had PPF that was corrected and trimmed to get another few years out of it before we replace it.

After everything was corrected, we applied PPF to the rest of the car so that it is now fully protected. The highest tier Gyeon ceramic coating was then applied to complete the glossy and slick surface.

PTS Meissen Blue is a beautiful color, and such a cool variation of the PTS blues I have worked on recently. Thank you again to the owner, and congratulations again on your new car 🙏🍻

992.2 GT3 TOURING | PTS GULF BLUE - RECAP

Another incredible spec arrived for a great friend SD 🍻🙏

This was brought over for a multiple step paint correction, front end + high impact PPF, and professional grade ceramic coating.

This one had 4-5 decent sized sanding marks that were easily removed, I’ll skip the before and afters and focus on the glamour shots of this amazing car.

I’ll post another set with Sean’s previous Gulf Blue masterpiece that I had the opportunity to work on. This color just never fails to impress me in person and I can’t thank Sean enough for trusting me over the years with his amazing collection of cars.

Thank you all for following along and supporting what I do 🙏

Detailed my neighbor’s “truck” 🍻

Watching the Scarbo Performance SV Rover drive up and down casual neighborhood streets is pretty hilarious. This $2M carbon fiber bodied, 1500hp, equipped with 2 separate Motec systems, and not sure how many King shock setups is about to be displayed and needed a quick detail after recent off road testing.

The truck has a lot of very delicate and prototype parts mixed in with full blown race parts - so we had to be very careful overall. Thankfully I have my overbuilt RO/DI system for spot free water, even out of the bucket. I used an array of Gyeon products to safely and effectively clean the truck.

A light foaming with Gyeon Foam to pull down all dirt out of the crevices. Gyeon Bathe out of the bucket, lots of Gyeon Tire Cleaner and finally the truck was finished with Gyeon Wet Coat and Ceramic Quick Detail for gloss and slickness.

My neighbor is cooking up something pretty sick for my GT3RS soon, stay tuned 🍻🍻
