992 Turbo S Project | Part 1

This car was recently acquired and arrived with 8k miles. The scope was to remove the existing PPF, paint correction, re-apply full body PPF, ceramic coating, and full interior detail. Somewhere along the way, we found various nuances that needed to be addressed under the PPF and a very rough overall condition for a car with such low mileage.

Take a look at the slides that walk through what proved to be a uniquely challenging detail project. I added individual captions to each picture this time 🍻🙏

Many of the edges of the existing PPF came up short, this promoted accumulation of dirt, early failing and lifting around many edges on this car. The installer also used adhesive promoter/super glue on nearly every edge on this car.

Pre-cut templates, sloppy installation, lots of sloppy paint touch ups all over the car that came off when the PPF was removed.

Finally got to the actual condition of the car 😬 Again, I’m just surprised that a car with such low mileage was neglected this bad and PPF was applied directly over this.

992.2 GT3 Weissach in PTS Rock Green Metallic

This car was in for a paint correction, full body PPF, and ceramic coating of all exterior surfaces. Projects like this look very routine but a lot of work and QC go into each car. I only take in one car at a time so that I can do my best to ensure the highest level of work and attention goes into each one.

I have continued to be impressed with Gyeon PPF topped with Gyeon Infinite Base 1. The gloss, slickness, and hydrophobic properties very closely resemble a painted surface. All of this matters even more on special cars and colors that will be examined even more closely.

Next up: 992.2 GT3 in PTS Rock/Granite Green Metallic 🍻

Feeling really thankful to be able to work on another amazing PTS color after the previous Stone Grey GT3 from last week 🙏 If this color looks familiar, it is the same color as the 1988 911 I did about a year ago. It’s pretty cool to see a classic color on a new GT3 equipped with Weissach Package.

This car will be paint corrected, full body PPF, and coated in Gyeon Infinite professional ceramic coating.

Once completed this car will be shipped out of state to it’s new owner 🍻🙏

RECAP | 992.2 GT3 Touring in PTS Stone Grey

This newly PEC delivered GT3 came in for what has become a “standard” offering for me - but in reality it was so much more than that. CJ has been such a great friend and supporter over the years but this car is for Vanessa, his wife 🙏

Not only did she spec this car, but she dropped it, picked it up, and was as invested in the process of this detail project as anyone I have worked with. I definitely felt extra pressure to deliver on her expectations on her new car.

I did a two step correction, full body PPF with Gyeon film, and finished with Gyeon Infinite Base Type 1 for an incredible amount of gloss and slickness to really bring out the unique tones of PTS Stone Grey. The process was a full 6 days straight, tons of QC and attention to every detail, but the end result was well worth it.

I mention that sometimes detailing isn’t just “detailing” and cars aren’t just “cars” - this project was one of those 🙏 I was fortunate enough to be able to experience the PEC delivery with their family, and to be able to deliver this car back to them near perfect and protected is very satisfying. Thank you C+V, I appreciate your friendship and trust with your amazing cars 🙏🥂

992 C4 GTS | PTS Ruby Star - Part 1

This was recently acquired and brought in for paint correction, fully body PPF, and professional grade ceramic coating.

This car has ~1500 miles and was spec’d as a dealer show room demo car. With that, it has Porsche’s iconic Ruby Star paint color. It has a few deeper scratches and a good amount of swirls from a car you would see displayed in a showroom.

The goal was to improve the paint condition and much as possible without removing too much material in the process as the car would receive full body PPF.

Colors like Ruby Star, Olive, etc. tend to be a bit finicky but the end results are stunning. Check out some of the in progress shots, the final results will be posted tomorrow 🍻

992.2 Turbo S | Final click through

The new Turbo S has 701 horsepower and has been tested near 2 seconds 0-60. This 992.2 Turbo S in GT Silver was brought in for a paint enhancement followed by full body PPF and professional grade ceramic coating.

We used Gyeon’s new PPF and I am continuing to be impressed with it as an iterative upgrade to what I was using before from Suntek. Gyeon Infinite Base 1 works perfectly with it as a really glossy and slick form on long lasting protection.

992.2 GT3 WEISSACH | Final Walkthrough

This new GT3 in Vanadium Grey arrived with only delivery miles for a multiple step correction, front end + high impact PPF, and professional grade ceramic coating.

This goal with projects like this are always to achieve near perfect condition and protect the car to enjoy as it was intended. To do this, we relied on Gyeon PPF which has been out in Europe, but recently released in the US. All painted and PPF surfaces were then coated in Gyeon Infinite Base 1 for incredible gloss, slickness, and protection from contaminants.

Final | 458 Spider in Nero Daytona

As the prices on the 458 steadily climb and enthusiasts begin to gravitate towards everything that makes this car so good, it is easy to forget that the car itself is between 11-16 years old.

This one was recently purchased and is exceptionally well sorted. Like many of my clients, newly sourced cars are brought in for an overall assessment and plan for what the new owner wants to address and what they expect this car to be once finished.

In this case I did a multiple step paint correction, enhancement of existing PPF, isolated PPF installation, and installed the highest grade ceramic coating I offer.

This car arrived with PPF, it was good enough to get a few more years out of it and save a few thousand dollars. The results from the paint correction speak for themselves and the now looks brand new.

This car was recently acquired and is in for a paint correction, existing PPF enhancement, isolated PPF replacement, and ceramic coating. This is an exceptional example, but was due for a nice restoration and the end results showcase just that.
