Yay, we will soon have hot water again on the self-service side.

As you probably remember, recently someone broke into several carwashes and business in town and tried to break into Mr Fancy Pants on S Staples. While they did not succeed, thanks to quick action from Corpus Christi Police Department, they did damage the natural gas line outside the building which forced us to turn the heater off and since then we had only cold water.

Guess what? we just passed City Inspection and will have the gas turned back on shortly by City of Corpus Christi - Government.

We will let everyone know.

They tried to ram the door with a Dodge Ram (this part was funny 😅)

I was jolted out of bed by the alarm calling at 4:30 in the morning. I pulled up the camera to see what was going on just in time to see them shutting the power off, presumably to disable the cameras and conceal their activities.

The was on scene before I even got there. They did a fantastic job.

It is unfortunate this is happening in South Texas, as situations like this are a big reason why I left Brazil over 20 years ago.

Thankfully, nothing was taken. We’re fully open and operating as normal today. Thank you for continuing to support your local car wash — we’re here and ready to serve you. 🚗✨

With Memorial Day Weekend 2025 upon us, the Corpus Christi Police Department has a few reminders for the residents and visitors to our Sparkling City by the Sea.

PLEASE BE PATIENT. Traffic may be congested as you make your way to the beach. CCPD will have additional officers patrolling the beach and roadways.

KNOW THE BEACH RULES:

On ALL beaches:

1. No glass bottles or containers
2. Must be 21 years old to consume alcohol
3. Dispose of litter in trash receptacles
4. No canopies left overnight
5. Properly dispose of pet waste

On Gulf beaches – Additional Rules:

6. Speed limit is 15 mph. All traffic laws apply, including driving while intoxicated. Don’t drink and drive.
7. Beach Parking Permits are required to park on the beach
8. Campfires are allowed:
* 3’ x 3’ x 3’ or less in size
* No pallets/treated lumber, plastics, furniture, or building materials can be used (not allowed)
* Must be at least 25 feet from any vehicle with combustible fuel, 75 feet from any vegetation line/dune, and 250 feet from any permanent structure
* Must be fully extinguished, no residue left, and replace any sand in holes
9. No Golf Carts or Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) allowed on Park Rd 22, SH361, or any road with a speed limit of more than 35 mph.
10. Camping
* Prohibited in front of condos and hotels
* Allowed for 3 days & nights consecutively, but no more than 6 days within 1 month.
11. Dogs
* NO DOGS ALLOWED on the beach from Northside of Packery Channel (~BM 209) to Zahn Rd to Beach Access Rd 3 (~BM 187) (per City Manager)
* DOGS ARE ALLOWED on the beach from Southside of Packery Channel (~BM 210) to Beach Access Rd 6 (~BM 237) but must be on a leash or obey verbal commands [includes Ellis Beach, Whitecap Beach, Padre Balli Park, and Bob Hall Pier]

On North Beach and McGee Beach – Additional Rules:

12. Driving on the beach is prohibited
13. No BBQ pits allowed on beach premises
14. No moonwalks or other inflatable games
15. No campfires
