• Neglecting Air Filters: Failing to change or clean filters every 1 to 3 months chokes airflow and forces your system to work harder, driving up energy bills.

• Blocking Vents and Registers: Covering supply or return vents with furniture, rugs, or curtains disrupts air circulation and strains the blower motor.

• Skipping Annual Tune-Ups: Forgetting to schedule bi-annual professional check-ups (spring for cooling, fall for heating) misses early warning signs and can void warranties.
(Join the COOL club for regular maintenance)

• Lowering the Thermostat Too Much: Cranking the temperature down excessively won’t cool your home any faster; it only causes the system to run longer and waste energy.

• Ignoring Strange Noises or Smells: Brushing off banging, squealing, burning, or musty odors allows minor issues to turn into major repairs.
