KEEP THOSE PUMPS RUNNING... Freeze Guard system will take care of your pump during freezing temperatures. (If it has one )BUT to prepare it for a electrical outage we recommend you COVER ONLY PIPES. Avoid Covering Your pumps with Any Kind of Blanket or Tarp. Covering your pumps can cause a fire. If the electrical does go out you will only need to do the following: Call us if you have any questions or concerns!
Bundle up first!!
Turn off Your Breakers. You do this because if the power comes back on and your pumps aren’t on, you run the chance of burning them up.
Drain Water from All Equipment. You’ll pull out Drain plugs on your pumps to let all excess water drain out.
Remove All Pump Lids and Drain Caps & Set Aside. Take your pump lids off and set your drain plugs in there so you don’t lose them. Put the lids on top upside down .
Open Your Valves. Opening up all your valves will allow water to escape through your system and down into the ground. This will keep water from freezing up in your pipes and busting them and the valve handles. If you have a cartridge filter open your pressure release valve. Then remove the drain plug from your filter so itll drain out the filter water. That way your filter shell doesn't Crack. For sand filter you can remove the clear bulb on the side of the multiport valve. Then remove the filter drain plug to help drain the lateral pipe in side the filter to prevent any cracking.
Once the electrical comes back on remember to replace everything and return your valves to there usual position. Then fill your pump with a water whose . Then close the pump with its pump lid. Make sure the black ring is in place for proper seal. And start the pump up. Watch for ANY unusual activity in the circulation or the functioning of the equipment. Please call 361-980-7819 MARIA
