Hello! We know, we know, it's moving week here in the Iowa City area for what seems like everyone! And while we would LOVE to help, we are absolutely booked full and swamped this week (Week of July 27th)! This goes for all of our services that we offer. Our phone has been ringing non stop today with requests and we wish we could assist, but we're just not able to! We SO appreciate ALL the referrals and everyone reaching out today! I think we're up to 23 phone calls since this morning?!

Additionally, as a reminder, we no longer offer move out or move in cleanings. We only offer regular occurring residential house cleaning services. So, once you're settled in and interested in that service- we'd love to help!

We wish everyone the best of luck with their moves this week and if there's any way we can assist you, we're here to help......as soon as next week once August hits that is!

Having myself a nice slow start to this Sunday morning by sipping on my coffee while sitting on my back patio watching my pup run around the yard. And doing so while feeling so, SO grateful for it all! Today marks 11 YEARS in business!! How crazy that seems because it seems like just yesterday I was sitting at a fold up table in my parent's spare bedroom with my notebook, laptop, and a dream to make a difference. And my goodness how far Everyday Helper has come in the last 11 years! And that my friends, is all thanks to you! Thanks for supporting myself, our amazing team of helpers, and the mission that Everyday Helper is on. Whether you follow us on social media, share the word about is in the community, read our newsletters, are a client or past client, or any way else you help support this childhood dream of mine.....THANK YOU! Thank you, thank you, thank you. The best part? I think each and every day that passes I only find myself even more fired up about what's to come for the business. As a small business, we love supporting our fellow local small businesses. Today I have to give a HUGE shout-out to Mailboxes of Iowa City.

I've been assisting some clients with a long distance move. Yesterday I had some movers/shippers scheduled to pick up a bunch of boxes/items to deliver to Texas. Well, after a whole day of waiting for them to show up, they cancelled the order. So I've been scrambling for a plan B option that would be much simpler than me trying to load all of these boxes down the stairs of an apt building by myself, load my car, and make multiple trips to take to UPS etc to get shipped out.

I called Mailboxes of Iowa City and explained the tight timeline I'm on, and they offered to come SAME DAY to pick up allllllllllllllll the boxes, load them down the apt building steps, and get them shipped out quickly. Now that's customer service! I've used them over the years for many other personal and client needs of course, but had no idea they offered this service! From now on, they're the only place I'll be shipping items out of! Just had to give them a well deserved shout-out for saving the day! LOVE our community of fellow local small businesses!

We've been quiet on social media this week, but we have all been BUSY!! Another 3 moves we assisted with this week on top of all of our regular clients on the schedule!

Summer may have literally just started, but at Everyday Helper, we're in our busy season when it comes to moving services! This week alone we're currently coordinating and/or assisting with 4 moves! 2 local, and 2 long distance! More on that to come this month as I share ALL the ways we can assist you with your next move!

I also received a call this afternoon from someone who went on Google and searched "service near me that will pick up items for my move and ship them for me" and this is what Google told them! And, that's correct! We can do just that, too!
