10 Year Old Paint ๐คฏ
Thatโs right, this is a 2016 Dodge Charger SRT. One year after the SRT debut for Challengers and Chargers. Before the now legendary โHellcatโ name was ever adopted.
This gloss black paint was heavily swirled, scratched, and oxidized. Over a decade of driving- yet with only 50,000 miles on the dash- it was in need of a serious makeover.
After our decontamination process - to include
A Citrus based Pre-Rinse for environmental contamination like tree remnants and road grime
Followed by a Hand Wash and Foam Bath with PH neutral soap to emulsify and remove dirt from daily driving
After washing, we provide an Iron Decontamination, removing ferrous, fallout, and metallic contaminants
Last, but certainly not least, our Clay Treatment; think of this, as exfoliating the pores of your paint from contamination that is embedded in the surface of your vehicleโs Clear Coat (The glossy top layer of your Paint)-
We finally get to the Paint Correction phase. Meticulously compounding and polishing each panel of the vehicle during our Level 2 Paint Correction; This refers to going around the vehicle TWICE; Machine-Compounding and Machine-Polishing every inch of paint using high-tech dual action polishers.
These polishers are built to be nearly impossible to cause paint defects. Put them in the hands of our trained and certified professionals; and youโve got yourself the recipe for a showroom finish.
Once every inch of Paint is Corrected, we wipe down every panel again, this time using a Paint Prep- a chemical used to remove oils and any residual compound or polish.
At the last step, with the paint restored and sterilized, itโs time for Ceramic Coating. We install our ceramic coating by hand, using high-quality microfiber applicators. This microfiber is specially woven to ensure it does not leave marks in the paint as we install our Coating in its liquid form.
If youโve seen someone install a Ceramic Coating online, you may notice that majority of installers use two towels. This often results in โHigh Spotsโ or missed areas where Ceramic Coating is not properly leveled once itโs installed.
Not only do we use the highest quality of microfibers through every step of the process, but we use 3 to 4 towels while leveling coating- Slowly and Safely ensuring that your Ceramic Coating installation is flawless.
Needless to say, this Hellcat no longer looks like the paint has seen 10 years of wear and tear
