Did you know, more pressure doesn’t always mean more clean?

Different surfaces need different approaches. For example, too much pressure can permanently damage concrete, brick, and other exterior surfaces - Yikes!

48 hours can make a big difference after water damage.

The EPA's guidance recommends responding to water damage within 24–48 hours to help prevent mold growth. That doesn't mean mold automatically appears after 48 hours. The EPA specifically notes that the timeline is a guideline and that mold growth depends on the conditions.

But it does highlight something important: Don't ignore moisture!!!

Water damage is an emergency. Treat it like one.

Not just industrial buildings need high dusting services. In many workplaces, dust can collect on surfaces that are easy to forget:
• Beams and rafters
• Ductwork
• Pipes
• Light fixtures
• Tops of equipment
• Cable trays and ledges

OSHA's General Industry standard, 29 CFR 1910.22, requires places of employment and walking-working surfaces to be maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. OSHA also specifically addresses housekeeping and dust accumulation in industries where combustible dust can create fire or explosion hazards.

That's why high dusting should be part of a facility's maintenance plan, NOT an afterthought. The dust you can't see from the ground still matters.

Plant Managers, Property Managers, Facility Leaders, Maintenance Managers... Have you ever asked yourself, how much dust is too much?

In certain facilities where combustible dust is a concern, the answer may be A LOT LESS than you think. OSHA guidance identifies 1/32 of an inch of combustible dust accumulation as a level that can warrant concern when it covers certain areas of a facility.

Listen... if you can see the dust, you're already behind. High dusting removes dust, dirt and debris from elevated surfaces that aren't part of a facility's everyday cleaning routine.

Think:
• Ceiling beams
• Ductwork
• Light fixtures
• Pipes
• Rafters
• Exposed structural areas

For facilities with very high ceilings, large open spaces or hard-to-reach areas, including manufacturing facilities, warehouses, schools and commercial buildings, it is extremely important to get these areas! Beyond appearance, keeping elevated surfaces clean can help support a more thorough facility cleaning program.

Some of the dirtiest places in a building are the ones you don't look at every day.
