Do I Need an Oil Change or a Top-Off?
One likely little-known fact about cars, trucks, and SUVs is that most engines burn oil. In fact, the majority of auto manufacturers consider the loss of a quart of oil every fifteen hundred miles or so to be acceptable. Between oil changes! That may come as a shock, but if your engine is losing oil every so often and the oil light is shining from your dashboard, it actually could be a natural occurrence. That is why it is important to check your oil regularly - every week or two - to make sure that your engine does not run too low on oil.

But that can lead to a major misunderstanding. If you are constantly adding oil to your engine, doesn’t that mean you really don’t need to change the oil? Or at least not as often? After all, the oil you add is clean and fresh. Why would you need to do anything more? Click Here to Learn More: t.ly/SfYz

How to Get Rid of Water Spots on Your Car's Windshield
How frustrating it can be to run your car through the car wash expecting a clean and streak-free finish, only to find water spots covering the surface. Sometimes it seems, no matter what you do, those annoying and unsightly stains just will not go away. So, what causes water spots on a car? And what is the best way to eliminate them?

What are water spots?

If you notice dusty white spots or rings on the glass or paint of your car after it dries, you are likely looking at water spots. Now, water on its own does not cause spotting. At least pure water does not cause spots on your car. Unfortunately, most water that lands on your vehicle is not pure. Click Here to Learn More: bit.ly/3lI6LHE

Brake Pads vs Brake Shoes
Dress shoes, boat shoes, hiking boots, and sneakers. What do they have in common? You wear them on your feet, of course. But brake shoes? Well, not so much. Brake shoes are worn on your car and are there for one purpose: to stop your four-thousand-pound metal machine when you step on the brake pedal. But what do they have in common with brake pads ? Are brake shoes and brake pads the same thing? Click Here to Learn More: t.ly/Kftf

Why Does My Car Need Oil Changes?
“Motor oil is the lifeblood of your engine.” Have you ever heard that saying before? It is a popular proverb among auto enthusiasts. That is because oil is a key component for maintaining a healthy engine to keep your car running smoothly for many thousands of miles. But is that motor oil maxim really fitting? You have never heard anyone say that your body needs its fluids changed every three thousand miles, and yet people have been saying that about engines for decades.

While most people certainly do not need frequent blood transfusions, your engine does need fresh engine oil on a regular basis. But why? With all of the advances in oil technology, why do cars need oil changes at all? Click Here to Learn More: bit.ly/3cwBgen

What Color Should Your Engine Oil Be?
What is the correct color of engine oil? Do you know what color it should be? The color of the oil in your car’s engine can reveal quite a bit, but it might not reveal what you expect it to. If you want to know if the fruit on your peach tree is ripe, you look at the color. When it has completely changed from green to yellow, your peaches are ready to be picked. But engine oil is not fruit. Contrary to what you may have been led to believe, you cannot tell if it is time for an oil change simply by looking at the color of your oil. That is not to say that its color is unimportant. In fact, the color of engine oil can give you some clues about its condition and, more importantly, the condition of your engine. Signs of Low Oil Pressure and What Causes the Condition
There really is no more important issue related to the performance and longevity of your car’s engine than the oil inside your vehicle. Motor oil (also called engine oil ) is pumped throughout the inside of your engine in order to coat all of the moving metal parts with a thin layer of lubrication to keep them from rubbing against one another. But if the oil pump fails, or there is some other reason that the oil pressure drops, motor oil will cease to make its way to where it is needed.
It does not take very long for an engine to fail without adequate lubrication. Fortunately, your car is smart enough to tell you not only when the oil level is low, or when it is time for an oil change , but also if and when the oil pressure falls below its proper range. Some of the signs of low oil pressure are built in as a safeguard; other telltale symptoms are unintended but happen nevertheless. Here are the results of low oil pressure, the signs that your oil pressure is low, and the causes that can create the condition.

Why Is My Oil Light On?
When a little light comes on in your dashboard display, it often means trouble. Warning lights are used to signal that something is not right with your car. Fortunately, these beacons of bad news do not light up very often. But it can be unnerving when they do, especially when the icon you see is a red oil can shining at you.

But is it really a big deal when the oil light comes on? Do you need to worry about how long it stays on? And why does it come on in the first place?

Which oil light?

Perhaps the first question that needs to be answered is which oil light do you see? There are often two different lights used by vehicle manufacturers to alert drivers to two separate but related issues with an engine. Click Here to Learn More: https://bit.ly/3bz19tD

Why Is My Engine Losing Oil Even Though It’s Not Leaking
The engine in your car, truck, or SUV relies on oil to keep its internal parts lubricated. Without a thin film of engine oil coating those components, friction from metal to metal contact would produce excessive heat and extreme wear leading to catastrophic damage. So, vehicle manufacturers make sure to include the proper oil type and weight to protect your engine, and they recommend changing the oil regularly to ensure many miles of service.
