Would it really be a Friday afternoon if Chimspector didn’t show off a transformation?

This one came to us as a moisture problem. Two open flues, a crown that had seen better days, and water finding its way inside. We soft washed the stack, sealed the crown, applied a breathable water repellent, and finished it with a full-coverage hip and ridge cap in black powder coat.

Swipe to see where it started.

Seeing water where it shouldn’t be? Or just want the peace of mind that your chimney is ready for the season? Give us a call at 803-602-5929.

Happy Birthday, Bob!

If you’ve ever stopped by our showroom, chances are you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Bob. Every morning at Chimspector starts with him. He gets the stoves going, the goats fed and the shelves in order before most of us are through the door.

Bob is Drew’s dad, but around here he’s a father to all of us. He’s the glue that holds this place together, and we’re so thankful for everything he does, day in and day out.

Come by the showroom this week and wish him a happy birthday!

This one came together very nicely.

What was once an empty alcove, now houses a Stûv 16, tucked into a new custom home in Taylors.

Clean lines, real wood heat, and a fire you can see from every seat in the room.

Building a home and thinking about the fireplace? Call us at 803-602-5929. We would love to be part of the plan.

Swipe to see where it started.

Same mantel, same tile, but those dated brass doors are gone. We installed a G3.5 gas insert, and now this homeowner gets real warmth and a beautiful flame with the click of a button.

Sometimes the right insert is all it takes to bring a fireplace back to life.

Call us at 803-602-5929 or visit www.chimspector.com and let's talk about what your fireplace could be.

"It's Testimonial Tuesday!

Gary H. shared this on Google:

“Chimspector is the trusted installer of our gas logs and relied upon for annual inspections. Their team is courteous, professional, and prompt. Thanks Guys.”

Being the team our customers call year after year is what we're proudest of. Thank you, Gary!

If it has been about a year since your last inspection, book your annual visit at the link in bio.

Full coverage cap, installed and ready for the season.

Most chimneys have nothing more than a small cover over the flue, which leaves the crown and the brick exposed to the weather year round. A full coverage cap sits over the entire top of the chimney, so rain, leaves and animals stay out and the masonry underneath stays dry.

This one is a hip and ridge shape finished in a penny vein copper powdercoat. It does more than protect, it finishes the chimney off and sharpens the look of the whole home.

If you are not sure what is on top of yours, give us a call at 803-602-5929 or visit www.chimspector.com

Details like this are what make a custom home stand out.

We designed and installed this pair of custom chimney shrouds for a beautiful new build on Lake Murray, finished in a custom color to match the roofing so it looks like it was always meant to be there.

Proud to partner with Dunbar Builders, Inc. on this one.

When it comes to your fireplace and chimney, safety should never be a shortcut.

This week, we’re sharing a powerful review from Doug McClure in Columbia. His family uses their fireplace often, so making sure it’s safe is a top priority.

Doug shared:

“Our experience is that Chimspector will turn away work before compromising safety. In today’s marketplace that means something.”

He also gave a special shoutout to Trey and James for their professionalism, attention to detail, and care for his home — right down to wearing shoe covers to protect the floors. 👏

Doug’s message to other homeowners says it best:

“Folks don’t risk your family’s safety!!”

And we couldn’t agree more. Our goal isn’t simply to clean a chimney and collect a fee. It’s to identify potential hazards, give homeowners honest information, and help keep families safe.

Thank you, Doug, for trusting Chimspector and for taking the time to share your experience!
