MONDAY BUSINESS TIP...

Many people including business owners find Mondays challenging. Over time, I have transformed my Mondays into my designated "Reset Day." While some prefer Sunday for this purpose, my preference is Monday.

I strategically plan my week(s). Mondays present an excellent opportunity to focus content scheduling, to organize work schedules, engage with clients and prospects, set up marketing plans and more. Rather than dreading Mondays, consider reframing them as a day with the potential to become highly productive and enjoyable.

HAPPY MONDAY 😊

CLEANING TIP WEDNESDAYS

Most of your cleanings want require cleaning of the top of cabinets. Most people ignore them. We as cleaners forget to tackle our own cabinets.

But that is why we got here. My experience with cleaning these areas has always been horrible, because by that time the customer realizes this area needs to be clean, there is years of stacked dust and grease.

My recommendation based on the buildup
No buildup- wipe with a soapy microber cloth and dry on a monthly based
Light buildup- schedule a few extra minutes and wipe with a soapy microber cloth and ry it with a clean cloth
eavy buildup- based on how often you clean tackle set aside that or extra time in two between cleanings or one and complete with with a soapy microber cloth and dry it with a clean

Customers should be educated on how that buildup can be stubborn. Also, have that conversation with the customer because out of sight out of mind.

My research online I found out that you should maintain it. But if you have a situation where you have to clean it, here's what I found works:
After the cabinets are clean and completely dry, many cleaners place a layer of wax paper or newspaper on top of the cabinets (if they're not visible). It catches dust and grease, making future cleanings much faster. Be sure to replace the paper every few months.

This saves you time and customers money.

Do you have a different cleaning tip for the top of cabinets? How do you clean and maintain the top of your customers? cabinets?

BUSINESS TIP MONDAYS

Have a side job while growing your cleaning business

The cleaneing business can be an up-and-down industry. When the economy is doing good people budget cleaning and when it's doing bad cleaning is the first most families and office owners take off the list.

As a person who has been in the property management and cleaning industry, sometimes at the same time, I learned that one always helps me afford to keep operating and/or stay afloat if's the other one is not doing well because of the season or the economy.

So until you're able sustainable your cleaning full time stay on a job or work your cleaning business part time.

CLEANING TIP WEDNESDAY

As a Solo Cleaner or Team evey Cleaner should dress in the same shirt with business name/logo and pants of same color. The color coordinated shoes would be a bonus but I dont beleive is necessary. However be sure the shoes are clean.

Yes, you are going to clean and will get dirty and possibly stain your uniform. Yes, It still matters more than you think.

Dont think so? Just think if you were hiring a cleaning business would you perfer, trust and take the team more serious if they were presentable and matching or with no uniform coordination and unkept?

Cleaners what are the most comfortable type of pants to wear as a Cleaner?

BUSINESS TIP MONDAYS

"Always be available when you are aren’t available"

What do I mean:
I once had to hire three people back-to-back. The first one had a great interview and said all the right things; but never showed up. The second person was a part-time worker looking for extra income. After our interview, I concluded she needed the job and may be reliable. She never showed up. In between the 3 I had over 5 additional interviews.

The last person I'd known for years as my cousins best friend years ago, and her cousin who I consider a friend told me she needed a job. Normally, I do not hire people I know or if I do, I must know them in a professional way but I figured, I am desperate, why not? I hired her. She worked for several weeks, on time and consistent. Then one Saturday, I get the call from her that she was ill but will go in but needed to let me know just in case. Ihad plan to go out of town but my gut was like stay but leave later. After a few hours I get the call she had to leave she couldn't finish. I had to be available.

As you can see, you always have to be available in this industry. I learned the only time you can completely disconnect physically is few: 1. block those days off 2. if you have several employees informed and lined up, those dependable workers on standby. That truth has become even more real over the years.
