LET'S MAKE SOMETHING CLEAR...

I didn't start my photography business to be better than anyone else or to compete with anyone.

Before I was hospitalized, I had already discovered a passion for business management. Photography became a way for me to combine two of my biggest passions, building a business and creating art. Then life took an unexpected turn.

After I was hospitalized and lost my mobility, photography became so much more than just a business. It became part of my healing. It helped bring me back to life while I fought to recover. Being able to help others see the beauty in themselves through my lens is something so incredibly beautiful and powerful, and that's the reason I continue to do what I do.

As my business has grown, one thing I've come to dislike is the amount of competition within the photography community. That's why I value the photographers I've had the privilege of working alongside who choose to support, encourage, and uplift one another. Those connections are rare, and I'm incredibly grateful for them.

Last week, I shared that I officially graduated with my bachelor's degree. I also want to reassure everyone who has supported me, believed in me, and loves my work—I'm not going anywhere.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be making some big transitions as I balance the kids heading back to school, apply for a new job, and prepare for one of my favorite times of the year: fall sessions and busy season!
