🩷 MATERNITY LEAVE & BUSINESS UPDATE 🩷

This is an incredibly bittersweet post for me to make, but as of today, I am officially starting my maternity leave and putting Royal Cleaning on pause. 🥺🩷

This was NOT an easy decision. This business has meant so much more to me than just a job. It is something I built from the ground up, poured my heart into, and something that truly kept me going as a first-time mom. I am so incredibly proud of what I created and beyond thankful for every single person who has supported me along the way.

But life is changing in some really BIG ways for our family. ❤️

In the mix of adding a new baby to our family, preparing for maternity leave, running a business, AND building our new home on over 10 acres of land, we have a lot happening behind the scenes. We also have some very, very big plans in the works for our property and our family’s future, and I’m so excited to eventually share more about that chapter. 🏡🌿🩷

Right now, though, something has to give — and as heartbreaking as it is, that something has to be my business.

I know this decision affects clients, employees, and everyone who has been working or training alongside me, and I am genuinely sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Please know this decision was not made lightly. At the end of the day, I have to choose what is best for myself, my children, and my family.

As of September 1st, my business insurance and liability coverage will end, and Royal Cleaning will officially be on pause.

To everyone who has worked with me or spent time training with me — thank you SO much for giving it your best shot and for being willing to be part of this journey. I appreciate the time and effort you put into helping me prepare for maternity leave more than you know. I will also be reaching out to each of you personally. 🩷

And to my clients… I seriously LOVE you guys. Some of you have been with me for years. You’ve watched my family grow, supported my business, recommended me to your friends and family, trusted me in your homes, and helped turn something I started into something I never imagined it could become. I could never put into words how much that means to me.

Will I be back? Hopefully… ish. 😂🩷 And I’m VERY heavy on the ish.

This is a completely new season of my life. As much as I love this business, right now it simply does not fit the lifestyle my family and I are creating. Between a new baby, our new home, our property, and everything we have planned for the future, I’m allowing myself to step away without knowing exactly what comes next.

If and when I decide to return to cleaning, you guys will absolutely be the first to know.

For now, it’s time to put Royal Cleaning aside and focus on my family, our baby girl, our new home, and all of the exciting things ahead. 🏡👶🏼🩷

Thank you for loving me, supporting me, trusting me, and helping me build something I will forever be proud of.

This may be goodbye for now, but I have a feeling it’s also the beginning of something really special. 🩷

Things I do at NO CHARGE that have absolutely nothing to do with cleaning 🧹😂

Just a friendly reminder that there is a difference between cleaning your home and picking up/organizing your household before I can actually clean it.

These are things I regularly find myself doing that I do not charge extra for — but realistically should:

🧸 Picking up your children’s toys
🐾 Giving your pets fresh water
👕 Picking up dirty clothes — and yes, dirty underwear 😅
🍽️ Picking up/washing/moving dishes
📦 Throwing away and breaking down opened Amazon boxes
👶 Picking up dirty diapers
👟 Picking up shoes and personal belongings
🛏️ Moving clothes and clutter off beds/furniture
🗑️ Picking up random garbage, wrappers, bottles, etc.
🧹 Clearing floors and counters just so I can actually clean them
🐶 Picking up pet toys and other pet items
🧺 Moving household items back where they belong

I absolutely understand that life happens, especially in homes with children and pets! 💕 But when I spend a portion of your scheduled cleaning time picking up the house first, that’s time taken away from the actual cleaning you’re paying me to do.

A house cleaner is there to clean — not to pick up after the household.

Going forward, please try to have floors, counters, and other areas reasonably picked up before your scheduled cleaning. It allows me to spend my time doing what you hired me for and give your home the best, most detailed clean possible. 🧼✨

🩷 Royal Cleaning Updates 🩷

As many of you know, my maternity leave is quickly approaching, so I wanted to share a few important updates!

✨ Please plan ahead when scheduling. We book out well in advance and are unable to accommodate last-minute cleaning requests. If you know you’ll need a cleaning, please reach out as early as possible. I also ask that all communication remain kind and respectful, as my schedule is extremely limited.

✨ Effective immediately, a $50 nonrefundable deposit is required for all cleanings. This is no longer just for first-time deep cleans and will secure your appointment.

✨ I currently have availability for only two more deep cleanings before October.

Now for the exciting news! ❤️

Over the past few months, I’ve been carefully training a few amazing women to take over while I’m away on maternity leave. They haven’t been cleaning clients’ homes yet—they’ve been training in my own home and in the homes of family and friends so they can learn exactly how Royal Cleaning operates before stepping into your homes.

Choosing who represents my business was one of the biggest decisions I’ve had to make, and I truly believe I’ve found the best team. I wouldn’t trust just anyone with my clients, your homes, your families, or your pets.

Over the next several weeks and months, these wonderful ladies will begin joining me during your routine cleanings. This will allow us to find the best fit for each home while giving them the opportunity to learn your preferences, routines, and everything that makes your cleaning unique. My goal is for you to feel just as comfortable with them as you do with me.

Thank you all for supporting my small business through every season of life. Your patience, loyalty, and understanding mean more than you’ll ever know. I had to send my work phone in through insurance and I’m still waiting on a replacement. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, my iPad will not connect to my Apple ID, which means all of my scheduling information, contacts, texts, and call history are currently unavailable.

If you have called, texted, or reached out and I haven’t responded, please know I am not ignoring you. At this time, I have no way of accessing many of my contacts or messages.

Hey y’all!

My work phone has officially decided it no longer wants to charge or turn on. 😅

With that being said, I’ve reached out to many of you through social media or from my personal phone to confirm this week’s cleanings. If you were expecting a confirmation and haven’t heard from me, please send me a message here.

I know there were also a few people I was speaking with regarding one-time deep cleans. While I am not accepting new recurring clients, I do have availability for a few one-time deep cleans over the next couple of months.

Please feel free to reach out through Facebook, Instagram, or my personal phone if you have it. Unfortunately, I have a feeling I may have lost everything on my work phone. I’m hoping my iCloud was updated and synced well enough that I’ll be able to recover everything once I get a new device.

Reminder with the nice weather coming ☀️

If it is over 80° outside and I arrive to your home with no air conditioning on, you will be charged for the full cleaning and I will be leaving. You are welcome to reschedule if another opening becomes available.

When temperatures are that high and I’m moving at the pace I do to properly clean your home, it is simply not safe or healthy for me to risk overheating.
