Freezing weather is coming to BCS again and Ag Town Property Maintenance is here to help. Below is a list of steps to help you keep your home protected during these times.
- Locate your water main shut off valve and make sure it is cleared of any debris. This is typically located in your front or side yard and is in a covered box. Should you need to turn off the water to your home and you do not have a meter key to turn the valve, an adjustable wrench can usually get the job done.
- Open all cabinets under your sinks to allow warm air flow around the pipes. If you have any water lines in a drafty unheated area, like a garage, you can insulate those with a towel.
- Wrap all exterior pipes. You can find faucet covers at any local hardware store or securely wrap them in a towel.
- An added measure during a freeze is to let your faucets drip. A slow drip is all you need and you can place a container to collect the water should it be needed for future use.
- If you're heading out of town when a freeze may hit, it is recommended to leave your home at a 65 degrees or higher and shut off the water to your home at the main shut off valve.

Intersteam is expanding and is looking to add an Experienced Carpet/Air Duct Cleaning/Water Extraction/Natural Stone Technician to our team!

Position Summary:
• Responsible for providing quality carpet, upholstery, tile & grout, duct cleaning and other related services to our customers.
• Preference will be given to technicians with additional skills in Water Extraction, carpet stretching, and natural stone care.
• Carries out all duties as directed by the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Preliminary check of truck each morning including oil level, water level and tire pressure.
• Inventories equipment assigned and reports any discrepancies to the operations manager.
• Checks chemical inventory on truck.
• Drives to customer locations to begin each job.
• Removes required equipment from truck in preparation of each job.
• Reviews work to be performed with customer. Identifies and provides additional cleaning services to customer as needed. Collects payment from customer.
• Identifies cleaning agents and tools to be used to perform the work and complete the service and other assigned work while being careful to prevent damage to customer's home, possessions and property.
• After completion of work, reviews the service with the customer making sure the customer is satisfied and collecting customer's signature on appropriate forms & invoices.
• Returns all equipment to the truck and secures it for trip to next assigned appointment.
• Cleans truck upon return to branch.
• Restocks chemical supplies.
• Completes paperwork for the day's jobs and reviews with the Operations Manager at the conclusion of the day.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Basic understanding of daily equipment maintenance.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Ability to lift 30-50 pounds on a regular basis.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license and maintain a good driving record in compliance with Company requirements.
• 1 or more years of experience in carpet/duct cleaning or related field.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with fellow associates and external customers and assist a wide range of individuals in a variety of functions. A team player.
• Must possess good verbal, math and written communication skills.

Work Week: Standard 8am-5pm with after-hours and weekend duties as required by general workload.

Pay: Up to $40,000.00 per year based on experience
