River otters might look playful and harmless — but they can cause serious damage when they move onto your property.

🦦 River Otter Damage Facts:

• Fish ponds wiped out overnight
• Torn pond liners and damaged aeration systems
• Burrowed banks causing erosion and collapse
• Contaminated docks and decks from droppings
• Strong odor from marking territory

If you’re seeing fish disappear, muddy slides on pond banks, or tracks along the shoreline — it may not be a raccoon.

Protect your investment.
Know the signs.
Act early.

A huge thank you to our friends over at for taking in this little fella today. We always do our best to not separate mothers and their young, but sometimes when we get the call it has already happened.

Do you enjoy wildlife and especially cute babies? Give them a follow! They provide a great service and we are happy to have them in the area to provide a second chance at life for orphans like this raccoon!

It’s . Is your chimney properly sealed? This squirrel decided it was a great place out of the rain to build a nest. Unfortunately this can lead to house fires and improper ventilation of the chimney.

Did you know that fox squirrels are omnivores, meaning they eat a variety of foods including nuts, seeds, fruits, insects, and bird eggs? Now you do!

Did you know that feral pigs are wreaking havoc on Texas’ natural ecosystems? These invasive animals are causing damage to native plants, destroying habitats, and outcompeting native wildlife. It’s time to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of feral pigs and work towards finding sustainable solutions to protect our precious ecosystems. Here at Critter Control we combat those negative effects with cellular trapping. Here’s a few young ones we caught last week!

Another snake removal. This one is a kitchen stove hood. This is often overlooked as a place of wildlife entry but here is your proof that they will use any roofline vent to gain entry into the home.

Birthing season is here for raccoons. Mother raccoons are on the move looking for safe places to have their babies. Many will seek places such as attic and crawlspaces to have their young. If you hear thumping, scratching, chirping or a purring sound you may have a raccoon problem.

Don’t hesitate to give us a call for a free inspection and custom tailored plan to solve the problem for good.

Swipe right to see the thermal image of the babies inside the ceiling of the home.

Cooler weather has the bats on the move. The most common bat species we see in the Brazos Valley are called Mexican free tailed bats. They are a migratory bat and right now are starting to migrate through the area. If you suspect you might have bats taking up residence on your home or business, don’t hesitate to call! We offer free residential inspections and can bat proof your home to prevent a future problem.
