✨ How often should you really be cleaning your car seats, strollers, and wagons?

As moms, we all know these things take a beating. Snacks get crushed, drinks spill, dirt piles up, and before you know it, the gear our kids use every single day is way dirtier than we’d like to admit.

Here’s a quick guide I share with other parents:

👉 Car Seats – Deep clean every 3–6 months, or sooner after spills or sickness. Messy buckles and straps aren’t just gross—they can affect safety and comfort.

👉 Strollers – Think about all the places your stroller rolls… parking lots, grocery stores, parks. A good clean every few months keeps the fabric fresh, germs at bay, and wheels working smoothly.

👉 Wagons – These are the workhorses of summer. Between sweaty kids, sticky snacks, sunscreen, and outdoor dirt, wagons should get a seasonal deep clean to stay safe and comfortable.

At the end of the day, regular cleaning isn’t just about looks. It’s about health, safety, and a little peace of mind when you buckle your child in or head out for a walk.

That’s exactly why I started Merry Mess, to take this chore off your already full plate. Less stress for you, safer and fresher rides for your kids. 💛

I realized I never properly introduced myself on here!

Hi, I’m Elizabeth 👋 I ’m the face behind Merry Mess. I’m a mama, wife, and now car seat cleaning enthusiast (yes, that’s a thing 😅).

What started as tackling the never-ending crumbs, spills, and mystery stickiness in my own car has grown into a business I absolutely love, helping other families have clean, fresh, and safe car seats.

Something exciting: I’m also looking into becoming CPST certified (Child Passenger Safety Technician). That means I’ll not only be cleaning your seats but also making sure they’re safe, installed correctly, and ready for your little ones.
