A green pool isn’t actually about the color. It’s about what that color is telling you.
When chlorine levels drop too low or the water sits unbalanced for too long, algae spores that are always present in the air and water finally get the chance to multiply. In Florida heat, that can happen in a matter of days, especially after heavy rain or a stretch of high humidity.
The longer it sits green, the more the algae spreads and attaches to walls, steps, and equipment, which means more time and more chemicals needed to bring it back.
The fix isn’t complicated, but it does need to be done in the right order. Test first, shock the water, then balance and filter until it clears.
If your pool looks like this right now, don’t try to guess your way through it.
Comment “GREEN” and we’ll walk you through what’s actually going on and how fast it can be fixed.
