🚿 YOU DON’T ALWAYS HAVE TO TEAR INTO THE WALL!

This shower valve replacement took us to Belton, MO, where we ran into a common plumbing challenge: the valve wasn’t working properly, and it had off-brand internal parts that may or may not have been available locally.

The bigger challenge was access. This shower backed up to another bathroom, so there wasn’t an easy way to get to the valve from the other side without creating a much bigger repair.

Instead of opening up a large section of wall, we were able to use a shower valve repair plate to gain the access we needed, replace the valve, and get everything working properly again.

This is a good example of why there isn't always a one-size-fits-all solution in plumbing. Sometimes the best repair is about finding a way to solve the problem while minimizing the damage and extra work for the homeowner.

🚿 CUSTOM TILE SHOWER PROJECT!

We’re excited to be part of this bathroom transformation!

For this project, Grizzly Plumbing handled the plumbing rough-in for the shower valve and drain, getting everything properly positioned and ready for the custom tile work.

🛠️ Brighton Tile LLC brought the shower to life with the custom tile work, creating a great finished look.

🏠 House 2 Home Handyman Services Brad Seiner helped arrange the project, handled the plumbing trim-out, and took on a bunch of the other work involved—including demoing the old bathroom, redoing the textured ceiling, setting the vanity, and much more.

We’ve included a few in-progress pictures of the ceiling and vanity so you can see some of the work happening behind the scenes.

It takes a good team to turn an old bathroom into something completely new, and we’re looking forward to seeing this one come together!

😂 NO CRAWLSPACE IS TOO TIGHT… WELL, ALMOST.
If you've ever wondered how I manage to fit into some of these crawlspaces, you're not alone. 😂
I’m a pretty tall guy, so people are always amazed at the places I can somehow squeeze myself into. I’ve gotten pretty good at turning myself into a human pretzel when the job calls for it.
There has only ever been ONE crawlspace that I just could NOT get into.
And this was before I lost some weight, so I gave it everything I had. I twisted, turned, sucked in my gut, tried different angles… you name it. Eventually, I had to admit defeat and call the smaller guy at the company I was working for at the time.
The problem? He was about 30 years older than me.
And that man crawled right in like it was nothing. 🤦‍♂️😂
Apparently, the secret to getting through a tight crawlspace is simply being smaller… something I clearly hadn't figured out yet.
These days, I like to say no crawlspace is too tight for Grizzly Plumbing! 🐻
And apparently, the crawlspace wasn't done with me either. On my way back out, I bumped a drain line and discovered it wasn't even glued together properly. So naturally, I took care of that too—off camera, because nobody needs to watch me struggle with that twice. 😂
