FACTOID FRIDAY! 🤯
Kitchen sinks contain more germs than toilets 🤢
In various studies it has been proven that a kitchen sink contains more germs than a toilet bowl. It is important that you clean your sink properly to eradicate those nasty microbes.

FIX: Cleaning your bath and basin doesn't have to be a long and messy job. In fact, they are two of the easiest places to clean. Use an all-purpose bathroom cleaner (Puracy is great!) and a damp cloth will do the trick. Make sure you clean around the plug hole and taps as these are areas where dirt and germs most like to linger.

If you have a granite sink, ensure you opt for a gentle cleaning method to protect its surface. Depending on how many people you have in your household, clean your bath and basin thoroughly at least every few days to remove a build-up of grime. ✌🏻 🧽 💗

DREADED RED WINE!!! 😩 🍷 😖
Red wine has a way of winding up in the wrong place. Here are some ways to be sure that it doesn't stay there for long.
On delicate fabrics:
Soak the spot with denatured alcohol. Flush with white vinegar to remove residual stain.
On sturdy fabrics: Coat stain with salt; let stand for five minutes.
Stretch stained area over a bowl; secure with a rubber band. Place in sink; carefully pour boiling water over stain from a height of at least a foot.

Laundry detergent isn’t JUST for laundry!

Hassle-Free Toy Cleaning - full the tub - drop in toys - soak…do chores and rinse!

Unclogging a Slow Drain
💧 Boil a pot of water.
Measure ¼ cup of liquid Tide detergent.
Pour the detergent directly down the drain, without diluting it.
Let it sit and work on the drain for 3-5 minutes.
Pour the boiling water down the drain.

Cleaning Hard Floors!

🪣 Fill your mop bucket with warm water.
🥄 Add one teaspoon of Tide detergent. (Notice we said only a teaspoon. A little bit goes a long way.)
🧽 Use the Tide and water solution to mop away all that dirt.
💧 Make sure to wring the water from your mop regularly. If you have too much water in your mop head, you’ll leave streaks!
🦶 Put up your feet, and let the floor air dry!

Carpet Stains

Grab an empty spray bottle.
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of laundry detergent with 2-3 tablespoons of Borax. 🧼
Fill the spray bottle the rest of the way with water.
Shake the bottle thoroughly to make sure the Borax is fully dissolved.
Spray the solution onto the carpet stain and scrub gently.
💨 Let air dry.

#111 - Your remote control is a top carrier of bacteria. (Keep alcohol wipes on hand)

#112 - There are more germs on your phone, keyboard and cutting board than on a toilet seat. (YIKES!)

#113 - Purses and handbags have up to 10,000 bacteria per square inch, and 30 percent of them contain f***l (p**p) bacteria. (DO NOT put it on the floor…EVER)

Candles are lovely 🥰 and soothing 💆🏼‍♀️. They relax us and improve the overall coziness of a space but they can leave quite a mess. Here are some tips to clean up 🕯 wax spills 🧼

FROM BRICK 🧱: Freeze the wax and then scrape it away with an old butter knife or similar tool. After scraping away all you can, you may need to go back with a little Goo Gone OR the Eco friendly alternative is to make a paste out of baking soda and water, massage the paste into the sticky mess and let it work into the wax to remove residues from the brick. Afterwards, wash the brick with warm, soapy 🧼 water.

FROM WOOD: Use a blow dryer to soften the wax and then wipe it away with a soft cloth. Resist the temptation to chip away at the wax when it is dry!! This can damage the wood and/or the finish.

FROM CARPET: This is my favorite and probably most useful! Haven’t we all spilt wax on a carpet 🙋‍♀️? Place a paper bag over the wax. Put your iron on a low heat setting and run it over the bag on the waxy spot. The wax will be absorbed by the paper.

FROM FABRIC: Take a two step approach. First, put the fabric in the freezer for about thirty minutes. Then, remove the fabric and scrape off the cold 🥶 wax. Lastly, use the warm iron and paper bag method to remove the wax stain from the fabric. Finish it off by applying a little laundry detergent directly to the stain and washing as directed. If the wax leaves a particularly noticeable stain, you can also treat it with stain-remover if the fabric is washable.

Voila! There you have it. Just a couple of tips to help out.
