🏡 Chagrin Falls Project Spotlight: Total Chimney Restoration! 🛠️

We want to give a massive shout-out and thank you to our lovely customers on Fairway Trail in Chagrin Falls for trusting Century Chimney Sweep & Repair with this major multi-chimney restoration!

Our team recently performed a level 2 safety and camera inspection at their beautiful home and uncovered a few hidden hazards that made the fireplace unsafe to use.

To get everything safely firing up again and completely up to NFPA 211 and IRC safety codes, we are jumping into a massive top-to-bottom project across their three chimney systems:

🔥 The Left Chimney (Full Code Compliance Upgrade):Performing a complete tile break to remove old, deteriorating clay liners. Installing a brand-new, heavy-wall stainless steel liner system (contingent with a lifetime warranty!). Reshaping and parging the defective smoke chamber smooth with Chamber Safe Refractory Mortar. Insulating the entire chimney around the liner with Thermix masonry insulation. Pouring a new concrete crown and installing a top-tier Energy Top Plus Damper System.

🧱 The Middle & Right Chimneys (Waterproofing & Masonry Preservation):
*Erecting 5 tiers of scaffolding to safely access and spot-tuckpoint missing mortar joints from the roofline up.
*Applying a protective crown coat to seal out moisture and stop the brutal Ohio freeze-and-thaw cycle from cracking the brickwork. *Coating the exterior brick with a premium water repellent (backed by a 10-year warranty!) to keep the masonry porous-free and safe from spalling.

When it comes to your fireplace, what you can't see can hurt you. Our high-tech camera scans are designed to catch gaps, cracks, and safety hazards before they turn into a major emergency.

This chimney was severely unstable and dangerous after likely being struck by a falling tree, which left a massive crack running through the structure. To eliminate the safety hazard, our team carefully tore the brickwork down close to the roofline.

While the homeowner waits for their insurance company to settle the claim, we didn't want the home exposed to Ohio's unpredictable weather.
