💦 Well… it finally happened. The pool turned GREEN. 😳😂
We just wrapped up a smaller paver restoration project — about 700 sq. ft. in Madeira Beach, right on the water.
Whenever we're stripping old sealer around a pool, we explain something to our customers before we ever start: there is a possibility the pool can turn green during the stripping process. We do everything we can to mitigate it, but st****er can introduce phosphates into the water and cause a very dramatic color change.
We've warned customers about it plenty of times.
It's never actually happened to us.
Until today. 😂
And when I say green… I mean GREEN. 🟢
But here's the important part.
Michelle already knew it was a possibility. We discussed it beforehand, she understood the process, and when it happened there were no surprises and no excuses. She couldn't be happier with how her pavers turned out — and she's been bragging about us for two days.
That's why we believe in setting expectations BEFORE the job instead of making excuses AFTER the job.
Professionalism isn't pretending nothing can ever go wrong. It's knowing your process, educating your customer, communicating honestly, and handling whatever the job throws at you.
And apparently today…it threw a green swimming pool at us. 😂

“BETTER THAN IT WAS” vs. PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED
Our customer in Clearwater told us she actually owns a pressure washer and thought about tackling this driveway herself.
Could she have done it? Absolutely.
Would it have looked better than it did before? Probably.
But “better than it was” and “professionally cleaned” aren’t always the same thing.
This driveway and sidewalk totaled roughly 1,200 square feet, and years of dirt, algae and organic buildup weren't going to disappear with a quick Saturday afternoon pressure wash.
Professional cleaning isn't just about owning a pressure washer. It's having the right commercial equipment, the right cleaning solutions, knowing how to treat the surface, and getting consistent results from one end of the driveway to the other.
And that clean line in the pictures? 👀
That’s the difference.
Sometimes a DIY project saves you money.
And sometimes it saves you a Saturday, a sore back, and several new words you probably shouldn't say in front of the neighbors. 😂

You can’t fix bad sealer by putting more sealer on top of it. 👀

Back in Safety Harbor on this 700 sq. ft. paver restoration, and before we can wash, sand and seal, we have to deal with what’s already on the pavers.

Step 1: STRIP.
Here we're applying Trident Tidal Wave X st****er to break down the existing sealer so we can remove it and get these pavers properly prepared for restoration.
This is the part of the job most people never see. Everybody loves the shiny finished pictures—but the prep work is what determines whether that finished product lasts.
No shortcuts. No “just seal over it.” We strip what needs to come off, thoroughly clean the surface, re-sand the joints, and then seal.
Because as we've said before: you can't cover up a whole bunch of bad with a little bit of good and expect the bad to disappear. 😂
