We are currently seeking a Full Time Pool Cleaning Technician to join our team at Rick's Pool Service, Inc. RPS has proudly served the community of Pinellas County for 40 years, and we are looking to find new cleaning technicians to clean both commercial and residential swimming pools.
Responsibilities:
Full-Time Position - Monday-Friday
Start work between 7:30-8:30 am every week day
Clean each pool in a designated route according to its service level
Maintain work truck appearance and organization
Follow company safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
No previous pool experience needed
Clear, valid driver's license
Able to drive a small work truck
Able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs
Honest/dependable worker
Clean/drug free worker
Must be able to swim
Job Type: Full-time

The aftermath of the massive hurricane was becoming clearer on Thursday morning as search and rescue operations got underway. Bridges were destroyed, homes were wiped out by ferocious storm surge and millions remained without power.

To our customers and concerned pool owners
With Ian potentially impacting our area I’d offer these tips regarding your pool
First and foremost for some reason folks want their pools drained , some want half of the water pumped out of them.
This is a really bad idea
If you’re in a low lying area and you remove that much water the ground around the pool can put reverse pressure on your pool and cause it to literally pop out of the ground.
This causes catastrophic damage that most likely won’t be covered by insurance
A very small percentage of pools can flood over into houses but in 40 years I’ve only seen a handful
Do not drain your pools down!
I recommend turning off the power to your equipment and if you can’t find safe storage for furniture around your pool ease it into the pools but understand the chlorine in the water may damage the furniture and potentially stain the pool finish
We hope these tips may help you get through the storm with minimal damage.
