Today would have been Grandma Dorothy’s 92nd birthday. 💜

When we started this campaign, we simply wanted to honor her through service — something that represented the life she lived so beautifully.

Today, we are proud to announce that together, we raised $850 in her honor. 🥹

To every person who booked a cleaning, shared a post, supported, encouraged, or helped us spread the word — THANK YOU. You helped us turn love into impact.

But her story doesn’t end here.

With the love and support of our family, we are now taking the first steps toward creating an education foundation in her honor, with the goal of helping deserving students pursue their education at a four-year university. 🎓💜

What started as a birthday tribute is becoming a legacy.

I handed Destiny the keys… and look what she did with them. 🥹🔑💕

As a mother and business owner, there comes a point when you have to realize that building something isn’t always about holding onto it tightly.

Sometimes, it’s about making room for the next generation to build on it.

I handed my oldest daughter the keys to Clemons Cleaning Crew and gave her the freedom to bring her own ideas, creativity, and vision to the company.

And THIS?! 😭👏🏾

I didn’t create this magazine — my daughter did. And watching her take something I started and find her own way to make it better is a different kind of proud.

I may have started the company…

When I say God places people in your life for a reason, I truly mean it. I had a vision for Clemons Cleaning Crew, and a close friend took that vision and brought it to life with so much creativity, patience, and excellence.

From the tote bag to the tumblers, notebooks, pens, mugs, business cards, and even the smallest details… every piece was created with care. 💜🩵

As a small business owner, these things may seem simple to some, but to me they represent years of hard work, faith, growth, and believing in a dream that started with just a prayer.

Today was special. ❤️

Tori and I spent the day together steam cleaning a Black-owned dental office we proudly service in Goldsboro.

As I stood back and looked around, I realized this was about so much more than cleaning floors and making spaces shine. This was about legacy. This was about exposure. This was about showing my daughter what hard work, ownership, excellence, and service look like in real time.

There’s something powerful about two Black-owned businesses working together, supporting one another, and creating impact in our community.

I want my children to see that success isn’t just talked about—it’s built through consistency, discipline, and faith.
