One thing they never tell you about owning a laundromat is how social it is. It’s like a bar, but instead of some drunk guy talking your ear off, you get to have fun, deep conversations with the person folding clothes next to you. Talking is easier because you don’t feel rushed. Your hands are busy, so silences aren’t awkward. You don’t mind having a deep conversation because you’ve already seen their underwear, and it’s not getting more personal than that, really.
I’ve met people from ALL walks of life at Cycle. Decamillionaires just cleaning their comforters, single moms/business owners trying to reduce laundry time, and I even had a conversation about Christianity and the afterlife with a witch! No lie! She’s super sweet, btw.
If you’re feeling cooped up and need a reset, come hang with us. Best case, you meet someone amazing. Worst case, you get all your laundry done.
