Six units flooded. Murky water backed up through every drain in the building. The culprit: a restaurant tenant dumping grease down the drain for months.

Grease does not dissolve. It cools, it hardens, and it builds up until there is nowhere left for water to go. By the time it looks like this, it is a full commercial hydro jet job across every unit in the building.

This pipe was packed almost solid with organic buildup. That's what we found at a flower shop in downtown Clarkston when their drains stopped cooperating.

Before we can hydro jet a line, we have to get to it first.

This commercial job in Clarkston had us digging down to the main line to remove an old trap that had no business still being there. It wasn't necessary, and it was completely clogged with debris. Tyler pulled it out himself. No shortcuts, no jetting through a wall and hoping for the best. We open it up, see exactly what we're dealing with, then blast the line clean.

💧 LOW WATER PRESSURE? THE WELL ISN’T ALWAYS THE PROBLEM.

We got a call from a homeowner in Fenton dealing with low water pressure throughout the house. Danny headed out to diagnose the issue.

First up, the well system. Working perfectly. ✅

Next in line was the water softener. This system was nearly 30 years old, leaking, and well past its prime. After testing the water, Danny also confirmed the home had hard water.

He put the old softener into bypass and immediately, the water pressure improved. Problem found. 🎯

We removed the failing system and installed a brand-new Sterling Water Softener, restoring proper water pressure and giving the homeowner properly softened water again.

Here are 3 reasons why your Plumber might show up to the job with an excavator:

1. Sewer line collapse or root intrusion
The most common reason in Metro Detroit. Older homes sit on aging clay and cast iron sewer lines that crack, collapse, or get destroyed by tree roots over time. The only way to fix it is to dig down, remove the damaged section, and replace it. There is no patch for a collapsed sewer line.

2. Water main failure
When the main water supply line from the street to your home fails, it is buried 4 to 6 feet underground. A water main replacement cannot be done with hand tools. The excavator gets us there fast and clean.

3. Large-scale drain tile or French drain installation
Managing groundwater around a foundation requires digging trenches along the perimeter of the home. It is labor-intensive work that would take days by hand and hours with the right equipment.
