We have stopped them from entering the house but they will sometimes continue to roost on the outside of the house until it is too cold.

Once temps drop below 40, they will fly off and search for a suitable place to hibernate.

Alpha-gal has been confirmed in our state. A disease caused from the bite of the Lone Star Tick.

West Virginia has confirmed its first cases of alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne illness that can trigger lifelong allergic reactions to meat and meat-based products.

This video shows termites’ extraordinary ability to survive in adverse consitions!

Termites are swarming out of a log in a snake cage, which was placed there one whole year ago.

That means that they were separated from their colony, selected and formed a new queen, and continued to expand their numbers until they were capable of swarming a year later, and were able to do all this under the homeowner’s nose without their knowledge!!

It just goes to show how important it is to be as thorough as possible when treating a home for termites. The smallest possible survival rate could become a complete infestation all over again!

There was a huge ant colony living behind the insulation in this customer’s basement.

They hadn’t seen any ants but I was able to tell they were there by the frass (debris from ants) falling from the sill plate.

✅ Insulation removed.
✅ Debris vacuumed.
✅ Ants treated.
✅ Insulation re-installed.

**The customer was happy and gave me permission to use these pictures.

Lone Star Ticks have been expanding their reach into the Mountain State.

Their bite is capable of causing humans to develop Alpha-Gal, which is basically a red meat allergy.

Lone Star Tick sightings have been reported in southern West Virginia, so be sure to keep an eye out when you’re in the woods or in tall grass!
