Ceramic, what is it and why is it so cool?
This vehicle has been coated just north of two years now and giving it simple washes every now and then with a mid year deep clean and it has stayed pretty, but most importantly protected.
We offer some of the best wax in the market for our details with a lifespan of up to 6 months! This pales in comparison to the lifespan of a 7 year ceramic! This is also why we typically do full paint correction because any scratches that don’t get corrected will be locked in for up to the next 7 years. So perfection or as close to it as possible for the vehicle is key.
Ceramic is actually not “ceramic” at all but instead this is a more of a buzzword for the products to show their strength. While most companies call it ceramic it is actually typically a liquid polymer mix of silicon dioxide ( Si02), a Teflon or graphene base as well as some coatings offering a silicon carbide. The main point is all of these bond to your paint at a molecular level!
All in all ceramics last longer, bond better, and simply leave your vehicle safe and easier to clean for a long time to come! While the initial investment is bigger the long term benefits get heavily weighed out in terms of cost over the next 7 years to upkeep and maintain the exterior of the vehicle.
