So a state that has banned the use of footholds for public predator management with no reason other than political ignorance, hires government trappers to use those same footholds to capture and relocate the predators using taxpayer dollars. Cmon!!!

Wolves have completely recovered throughout the Western Great Lakes DPS and should be delisted and returned to state management. The Sportsmen's Alliance has been fighting this in court for nearly two decades. Last summer we submitted two petitions to the USFWS on a path forward that would return management to the states where they've met biological and legal thresholds for delisting while keeping expanding populations that haven't under federal control. Our petitions met all legal requirements handed down by the courts and best serve wildlife management nationwide.
