With pool season in full swing, our lab department has been hearing lots of misinformation, outdated advice, advice from 20 years ago, and oversimplified pool “rules”… and frankly, it’s turning them into mad scientists. 🧪⚡️
Bubbling beakers, lightning in the background, maniacal laughter from the water testing station — the whole thing. 🌩️👩🏼🔬
So, we present: Pool Chemistry Myths We Need to Clear Up 💧🦠
Consider this a public service announcement from your friendly neighborhood water nerds. Be sure to take notes — there won’t be a quiz, but there also isn’t always time to debunk every pool myth, Facebook comment, “my neighbor said…” theory, or piece of advice that hasn’t been updated since flip phones were cool when you’re standing at the counter.
In store, we often give the simplest version of the answer because pool chemistry is a lot to absorb at the counter — and let’s be honest, who was actually paying attention in chemistry class? This series gives us a chance to explain the “why” behind our recommendations without requiring a lab coat.🥼
Our goal is simple: help you understand your water, avoid chemical soup, and keep your pool clear, clean, safe, and summer-ready. 🧸✨
