The Harwood Heights Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Kritikos family and the entire Family Palace family on the passing of John Kritikos earlier this week.

For decades, Family Palace has been more than just a restaurant in our village. It has been a place where memories were made. A place for early morning coffee, family breakfasts, post game meals, heartfelt conversations, and countless community connections. Through it all, John helped create a space that felt welcoming, familiar, and truly part of what makes The Village Of Harwood Heights home.

Small businesses like Family Palace are the heartbeat of a community, and John’s presence, dedication, and hard work helped shape the character of our village for generations. His impact will be felt far beyond the walls of the restaurant.
