Who says Scrub Daddy is just for cleaning? I like to think of him as the Mac Daddy of all things practical.

I’m packing for my 40th birthday weekend and couldn’t figure out how to keep my dangle earrings from becoming one tangled mess.

Then I looked over at my Scrub Daddy…

Problem solved.

The holes are the perfect size to hold earrings, they stay organized, and I don’t have to dig through my bag trying to find a matching pair.

And before anyone asks… yes, I grabbed a brand-new one. 😂

Now I have to know… what’s the most unexpected way you’ve used a Scrub Daddy besides cleaning?

Forty.

I honestly don’t know how I got here so fast. I still feel 25… until I stand up too fast, sleep wrong, or make a weird noise every time I get out of the car.

The last 40 years haven’t been picture-perfect. They’ve been messy, beautiful, heartbreaking, hilarious, exhausting, and full of lessons I never asked for.

I’ve survived things I never thought I could. I’ve laughed until I cried, cried until I laughed, built a business from the ground up, became a wife, a mom, a veteran, a friend, and somewhere along the way… I became me.

Not the perfect version.
Not the filtered version.
Just the real one.

I’ve learned that kindness costs nothing, empathy matters, asking for help isn’t weakness, and your story can become someone else’s hope.

My body doesn’t always cooperate. Life hasn’t always been fair. But I’m still here. Still showing up. Still believing tomorrow can be better than today.

So here’s to 40.

To more adventures.
More laughter.
More coffee.
More deep cleans.
More sunsets.
More books.
More saying “no” without guilt.
More loving the people who love me.
And maybe… remembering why I walked into the room.

Thank you to every single person who’s been part of my journey. Whether you’ve been here since day one or just recently found my little corner of the internet, you’ve made these years even more meaningful.

Forty isn’t the end of youth.

It’s the beginning of knowing exactly who I am… and not apologizing for it.

Now excuse me while I go celebrate surviving four decades of my own shenanigans. 🖤
