I bought a business at 21. Four months later I've made back every dollar I put in, plus half again on top.
A 150% cash-on-cash return.

To be clear, that was my down payment, a few loan installments, and the cash I put into the truck. I still owe on the loans. This isn't paid off.

For context, the S&P 500 averages about 10% a year. The same money in the market would've needed almost ten years to do what this did by month four.

Most people don’t know we do this.

Everybody sees the truck and assumes we haul couches. We do. We also take down entire structures.

This family wanted to do it themselves, until we walked through what it would actually cost and how long it would really take.

$1,700 in dumpsters. $3,150 to rent the equipment. That’s $4,850 before anybody touches a single board, and they’d still be giving up two or more weekends swinging a hammer in their own backyard.

One of the best parts of owning a small business here is getting to work alongside other local owners who are building something too.

The Milky Cow •Bike+Bakery• reached out a few weeks ago. They’re moving to a new location, had some remodel debris that needed to go, and mentioned they’d been watching our videos. That meant a lot coming from someone in the middle of their own build-out.

Take 1 through take 47.

This is how every intro goes. Dancing, jokes, somebody forgetting the one line we just said out loud, and eventually something sticks.

No marketing agency. Just two guys, a phone, and a pile of brush that’s been waiting on us for 20 minutes.

The work is professional. The intros are not.

No roaches. Yet.

That “yet” is doing a lot of work. The flies had already found it, which means the clock was running.

Tenant moved out, left whatever didn’t fit in the car, and our property manager needed it empty. This is the bread and butter. We’ve done enough of these that there’s nothing left in a unit that can surprise us.

We only filmed the first room. After that we got moving and the camera never came back out. Stick around for the end.
