We have been testing this on various diesel engines in our fleet. Basically our chip works with the computer on two different levels. One is the VNT turbo maintenance program with in the computer “ECM”. It is the program that mechanics use to adjust and see if the turbo is working properly. We tell that program to open the veins in the turbo for full power boost. The same with the EGR. We use the same type of program to get the EGR to regulate the waist gate door. You will gain 75 HP back to the engine. Also your oil will stay cleaner and more transparent between oil changes which will prolong the life of the engine. Also, the engine will run cooler up to 20 deg. So, all the black smoke and hesitation, backfiring, or coughing will go away. It is plug and play. And, it only takes minutes to install. If that is not enough, you should see a gain in fuel mileage from 0.1 to 1.5 MPG. It varies on each truck because of tuning, terrain, idle time and gearing. Our product is called The Ugly fix ®.
