Haul-Out Cleaning of “SeaQuel”, a 1982 Norseman 447 for a Pre Purchase Survey. Cleaned the day prior to look her best for her big day. No pressure washer needed = no unnecessary paint removed! At On Point Diving, we don’t just “clean” a vessel… each new vessel undergoes an initial “Reset Cleaning”, getting into every nook and cranny removing old growth and getting your vessel up to the On Point standard. From there, we customize the maintenance schedule to keep it as it should be and performing its best based off multiple factors including age bottom paint, frequency of use, and the environment it’s docked in. We make the process hands off for you so you know that every time you step onboard your vessel, what’s happening below the waterline isn’t something you’re worried about. The first hull cleaning ever of the first ever 2026 Scout 670 LXF. Completed in 7.5 hours after being in the water since June. Was honored to receive a call from Scout who was looking for a detailed cleaning to get it back like it should be before this one of a kind vessel moved on to Miami before being loaded onto a ship to move across an ocean.

I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge an individual.

If you have not already met him on the docks, I’d like to introduce you to Reed. Coast Guard Veteran, a firefighter with James Island Fire Department, a country boy from Oklahoma and a solid man. Out of the 8 individuals who have tried out for On Point Diving Services in over 2 years, this is the first and only one that not only has met my standards and has not quit due to the elements… but continues to learn and develop in this niche and demanding skill set. He’s been with me part time since April 2026 and continues to earn his place here at On Point upholding the values and dedication to my standards. Today for the 3rd time we cleaned Empire Sea together. A 114’ vessel and couldn’t help myself from taking the opportunity to document his achievements by getting these photos of him on the bow bulb… something I personally have always thought was really cool about working on vessels of this nature and size. If you see him on the dock feel free to say hi! As I’ve known him, he’s not a man of many words, but he’s a solid man and if he’s getting under your vessel to maintain it, you can trust that he’s doing it according to my standard (as he darn well knows I’m finning right behind him lol). So please share some love for this hard working man and Veteran who has earned his place here at On Point Diving Services!

Received a call late Thursday about this 43’ Marine Trader on their way North on a strict schedule. Customer believed they hit bottom and had vibration coming from their starboard running gear. Made it out to them Friday morning at slack tide and found both props were damaged and a fair bit of line wrapped up in their running gear. Thankfully they had a spare set of propellers onboard, so we went straight to work clearing the line and swapping out their props. 1hr 30min later, they were set to get back underway. Smiles and handshakes all around are how I like my jobs completed.

Unfortunate that the air show over Charleston Harbor was cancelled due to weather, but it was super cool to see them practice for the past couple days between dives! Dare I say, they were “On Point”.
