Why degreaser matters in kitchen cleaning
A lot of the buildup on stovetops isn’t dirt -- it’s grease that’s been heated over and over again.
Cooking oils change when they’re exposed to heat. They thicken, harden, and stick to surfaces like glass, stainless steel, and backsplashes. Once that happens, water or a regular all-purpose cleaner usually won’t remove it.
That’s where a degreaser comes in.
Degreasers are formulated to break down oil molecules, which allows the residue to lift off the surface instead of just smearing around. That’s why they’re commonly used on:
• Stovetops
• Range hoods
• Backsplashes
• Cabinet fronts near cooking areas
When grease buildup is removed properly, the surface underneath usually looks much clearer and more even.
