You know what is so crazy! I had seen a post of this new arch contraption for sale at Michael’s. It’s like $150. Idk how it works or how reusable the balloons are over time. Someone post that it’s a great deal as someone quoted her $750 for an arch. I commented that $750 is crazy I charge $200 for this and I showed this arch. My other styles cost more. Why do I have ppl replying to me that I’m hurting the industry because I’m not charge minimum $450 for this same arch! One lady telling me that I can’t possibly be earning $25 an hour at that price or that I’m using Amazon balloons it’s the only way I can charge $200. Here’s the thing…
1. Stop pocket watching people.
2. Stop assuming you know all the ins and outs of a business.
3. Yall not really mad at me your mad that you charge dang near double what I do and now Michael’s has something less than what I charge…it’s giving Walmart vintage heart cake again 🤣
I understand those people are projecting. It was three different people, and not one of them offered me any help on how I can do something better. They just accuse me of ruining the balloon business and telling me how I can’t be making any money. Smh
So to be clear with my clients, followers, and anyone else who sees this. I use professional grade balloons (Sempertex and Tufttext). I don’t use stands and balloons from Amazon. I have invested in quality materials that have lasted me a long time. Time is money so I work fast. It’s not fair for me to charge per hour but I’m taking several hours to do something when it doesn’t need to take that long. I blow everything up at home and fit it all in my van or rent a uhaul. If I need a truck that rental is reflected in the set up/clean up fee. Tax is charged I am a legit business that pays too much in taxes lol I will never gate keep. If you need help ask. If you have questions ask. There is plenty of business to go around.
